Last night before they went to bed, the boys started to build a track for their Thomas trains. They didn't get to finish it, so I finished it after they went to bed. Isaac is starting to play better with it, but he still has trouble with the bridges and not knowing where his feet are. So this morning it took about 2 minutes for him to knock over one of the bridges:
Isaac: "The bidge is boken."
Me: "Well, I'm not going to fix it. It will have to stay broken."
Issac: "How 'bout ... Da-tan fix it."
Me: "No, Nathan's not going to fix it. He's going to eat his breakfast."
Isaac: "How 'bout ... Gam-pa Jones fix it."
Me: "Well, maybe you should call him and see if he'll come fix it for you."
Isaac: "Oh-tay."
Nathan: "He can't because he doesn't know the number."
Me: "If he gets his phone, I'll tell him what the number is."
They both went into the living room to find their phone (an old cell phone of mine). They couldn't find it, so that was the end of it. Of course, when I went into the living room, the phone was in plain sight right beside the TV.
On another note, Isabella has been doing much better the last couple of days. We took her off her oxygen for a couple of hours at a time last week, and Gwen took her off around 2 pm yesterday and she's been doing great since then. She did need it for a couple of hours in the middle of the night, but that was mostly because she didn't sleep well. Hopefully she can get off it for good! Gwen was telling everyone at church on Sunday that they could pray for her to get off the oxygen, and God has answered that prayer.
She has been a lot more cheerful, too. She's smiling more and enjoying her awake time playing with toys and watching Nathan and Isaac play.
Oh, and she now weighs 11 pounds! She doesn't look much different, just bigger.
She has a post-surgery doctor appointment tomorrow in Pittsburgh, and that could be her last Pittsburgh appointment until her next surgery in 2 years. Any other appointments will likely be in Erie with a doctor from Pittsburgh who travels to Erie for appointments.
