
We also found a pond to go fishing. There are lots of fish in there (blue gill, crappie, smallmouth bass) but they don't always like our bait. We've gone there a couple of evenings, and the fish are jumping all over the water, but we only hooked one. And it got off just as we were pulling it up!

It works pretty well, except Isaac likes to grab the line when you're baiting the hook. I guess he's attracted to the bait, too!
Nathan likes to reel it in, but he loses interest pretty quickly when the fish aren't biting. And I agree: fishing is more exciting when you're catching some fish! Luckily, we took his toy digger along and he had lots of fun with that.
Oh, and he didn't fall in, either! When we went fishing with my family over Easter, he fell in the lake. Mommy kept a good eye on him this time!
