We have some new landscaping in our backyard. On Jan. 23rd (I think), the guy taking down the block garage/barn brought in a bulldozer and plowed up our entire backyard.
His rationale was that if he scraped off the topsoil, the ground would finally freeze up enough for his equipment.
Well, it must have worked. On Jan. 26th, about 7 am, he showed up and started taking it down.
Nathan sat in the mud room to watch. He's covered up in a blanket because it was about 45 degrees in the mud room.
Unfortunately, he also plowed up the vineyards, which are NOT our property. He's been told that he needs to clean it up as best as he can before he'll get the rest of his money.
As it is, though, a lot of the snow is gone, and the backyard definitely looks a lot different. And we have a lot of work to do come spring!
I bet that Nathan didn't really mind the cold since he could watch the machinery. At least you know that you won't be bored come nice weather. There will be something to do as if you needed any extra work.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you all again.
So he got a bit carried away!
